Quote of the Day: What's in the Bill?

Pelosi:
“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it – away from the fog of the controversy.”

That quote actually makes sense to me. There seems to be so much being fabricated about what is or is not contained in the bill; passing the bill would therefore give concrete information about what it truly encompasses. I doubt she's suggesting that Congress doesn't know what's in it, just that it's subject to media manipulation in its current, unpassed state.

Sorry about the double-comment. Blogger gave me an error message and said it hadn't gone through.

Blogger is a pain like that sometimes. I think somewhere in the archives is a spammy comment I can't delete.

You're right, I think that is the gist of what she's trying to say. But it's also insulting to everybody who does know what's in it and still hates it.
