PM Gordon Brown announced the bestowal of an Honorary KBE on Sen. Ted Kennedy, then proceeded to talk about the fight to bring down the Iron Curtain... a fight Ted Kennedy personally attempted to undermine. Irony intended, or not? (I'm going with not.)
Before Brown went all global-socialist, he actually started out with a more pro-American speech than I think I've ever heard Obama deliver.
The "special relationship" is alive and well, though it has a distinct leftward tilt.
