Altucher defends Cramer

James Altucher thinks Jim Cramer got a bad rap on The Daily Show. Altucher gives all of his biases up front, but points to (1) Cramer's Today Show call to sell all stocks where the funds are needed within five years, (2) Cramer's rant against the Fed ("They know nothing!") from 2007, and (3) Cramer's call for the reinstatement of the uptick rule.

I'm a fan of Altucher's -- the guy is really smart, and he's not a typical media stock pumper.

I don't know if the uptick rule is going to do much good, though I don't think it will do too much ill either.
