Other than the obvious "firsts" of this Presidential election, we have some less obvious ones.

For the first time in at least a generation, a candidate has won on a platform of raising taxes (if only, as he claims, for the top 5%). Now, ironically, he may have to renege on that promise because of financial turmoil. To compound the irony, he will feel political heat from some corners for doing so!

Strange times indeed.

Yes ... it's pretty early to renege on a promise, but I think that's shaping up nicely. Plus now Obama is saying he is going to keep the missile program. Holy cow, what? Plus, the ending of the war is suddenly (or not so suddenly for Republicans) looking quite dubious. The liberal illuminati outdid themselves this time with the pretty promises, but they're unfortunately already fading.
